Subject goes after reporters

The head of several credit repair companies, who was the subject of an investigation by Toronto Star journalists, has allegedly retaliated by purchasing websites in reporters’ names and inviting viewers to report information on one of the journalists, reports the Star.

Sheldon Wolf, who runs several companies in the Calgary area that promise to help people in the economically-challenged province with their credit problems, has been linked to the websites.

In a letter to a website registration company, Wolf suggests he is willing to sell the reporter’s web site to a Star reporter for a higher price and unnamed conditions, says the Star.

“Both (the reporters) are very aware of what my terms are and I am very sure that they will find me very easy to deal with once they bring forth a reasonable proposal,” the Star says Wolf wrote.
