Staff changes at Local

Taking over for Brad Honywill as staff rep is long-time colleague Eva Dominelli, who has served at the local in an administrative role for the last 13 years. Previous to this, Dominelli spent eight and a half years with the Carpenters Union, where she first worked in an admin role, and then as a staff rep and organizer, bargaining contracts, filing grievances, attending arbitration meetings and working on union organizing drives. Dominelli has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto, a diploma in Microcomputer Business Application and certificates in WSIB, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Workplace Fairness Analyst and Union Communications and Workplace Investigations.

Milton Catita will be taking over for Dominelli’s previous role in a part-time capacity. Catita worked in insurance before making the transition to union life, working in an administrative role at Unite Here Local 75 and through the transition to Unifor Local 7575, where he maintained a membership database, designed flyers and other communications materials and processed membership dues. He is also fluent in Portuguese.
