Dear Postmedia Group 1 members,

The tentative central table agreement recommended to you by the Bargaining Team has been ratified by 96 per cent. Each of the nine newspaper units voted overwhelmingly or unanimously in favour of the deal.

The central table deal — which applies to pensions, benefits, vacations, severance, notice, job security, wages and length of contract — does not come into force until each newspaper unit completes its local bargaining.

Our thanks to Jim Slotek, Kate Dubinski, Norm DeBono, Zen Ruryk, Gary Ellis and Brad Honywill for their hard work and dedication on the central bargaining team.

And our thanks to you for your participation in the intensive ratification meetings held across the province over the past two weeks.

Yours, in solidarity,

Paul Morse
